Emergency First Aid at Work - 1 day 

Classroom based 7-hour Driver CPC DVSA (JAUPT) approved course (7.30am to 4.15pm) which will count towards the 35hrs of periodic training that professional drivers must complete every 5 years.

Ideal for both HGV & PCV drivers.

The aim of this course is to increase drivers knowledge of what actions to carry out in an emergency medical situation.

Please note, this course doesn’t not give you an accredited First Aid Qualification but is essential information for staff working on their own.

Entry Requirements

  • Valid ID: Driver Qualification Card or Photo Driving Licence or Digital Tacho Card or Passport.  
  • HGV: You must hold a minimum of a C1 licence gained before 10th September 2009 or hold an HGV Driver Qualification card to sit this course. 
  • PCV: You must hold a minimum of a D1 licence gained before 10th September 2008 or hold an PCV Driver Qualification card to sit this course. 

Note: Unnecessary repetition of Driver CPC courses is not permitted by the DVSA

Vulnerable Road Users and Road Safety - 1 day 

Classroom based 7-hour Driver CPC DVSA (JAUPT) approved course (7.30am to 4.15pm) which will count towards the 35hrs of periodic training that professional drivers must complete every 5 years.

Ideal for both HGV & PCV drivers.

The aim of this course is to increase drivers knowledge of vulnerable road users, hazards including mobile phones, speed limits, drink and drug driving plus staying legal whilst driving on the road. 

Entry Requirements

  • Valid ID: Driver Qualification Card or Photo Driving Licence or Digital Tacho Card or Passport.  
  • HGV: You must hold a minimum of a C1 licence gained before 10th September 2009 or hold an HGV Driver Qualification card to sit this course. 
  • PCV: You must hold a minimum of a D1 licence gained before 10th September 2008 or hold an PCV Driver Qualification card to sit this course. 

Note: Unnecessary repetition of Driver CPC courses is not permitted by the DVSA.

Drivers Walk-round Safety Checks and Safe Loading of Vehicles - 1 day 

Classroom based 7-hour Driver CPC DVSA (JAUPT) approved course (7.30am to 4.15pm) which will count towards the 35hrs of periodic training that professional drivers must complete every 5 years.

Ideal for HGV drivers or PCV drivers who also hold a C1 licence.

Not suitable for PCV (D1 or D) only licence holders.

This course will give drivers detailed knowledge of their legal obligations regarding daily safety checks and vehicle load security.

  • Valid ID: Driver Qualification Card or Photo Driving Licence or Digital Tacho Card or Passport.
  • You must hold a minimum of a C1 licence gained before 10th September 2009 or hold an HGV Driver Qualification card to sit this course.

Defensive Driving, Accident Procedures and First Aid - 1 day

Classroom based 7-hour Driver CPC DVSA (JAUPT) approved course (7.30am to 4.15pm) which will count towards the 35hrs of periodic training that professional drivers must complete every 5 years.

Ideal for HGV drivers or PCV drivers who also hold a C1 licence.

Not suitable for PCV (D1 or D) only licence holders.

This course will develop an understanding of drivers obligations at a reportable accident, along with giving an awareness of what actions to take in an emergency situation and a basic understanding of first aid.

  • You must hold a minimum of a C1 licence gained before 10th September 2009 or hold an HGV Driver Qualification card to sit this course.

Dangerous Goods, Hazards in Transport - 1 day 

Classroom based 7-hour Driver CPC DVSA (JAUPT) approved course (7.30am to 4.15pm) which will count towards the 35hrs of periodic training that professional drivers must complete every 5 years.

Ideal for HGV drivers or PCV drivers who also hold a C1 licence.

Not suitable for PCV (D1 or D) only licence holders.

This course gives an overview of the dangerous goods regulations for travel by road. Drivers will be made aware of the legislation which covers the handling of potentially hazardous materials or goods and explains the precautions that must be taken to remain compliant with the law.

Entry Requirements

  • Valid ID: Driver Qualification Card or Photo Driving Licence or Digital Tacho Card or Passport.  
  • You must hold a minimum of a C1 or D1 licence to sit this course or hold a Driver Qualification card.
  • You must hold a minimum of a C1 licence gained before 10th September 2009 or hold an HGV Driver Qualification card to sit this course. 

 

Please note, his course does not count towards an ADR qualification but is a good insight into what drivers of hazardous goods need to know.

Tachograph Driving Hours & Penalties - 1 day 

Classroom based 7-hour Driver CPC DVSA (JAUPT) approved course (7.30am to 4.15pm) which will count towards the 35hrs of periodic training that professional drivers must complete every 5 years.

Ideal for both HGV & PCV drivers.

This course will develop knowledge and help understand driving hours, working time directive and tachograph rules. Gaining full appreciation of proper use of tachograph equipment whilst understanding professional driver issues such as hazard perception and speed awareness.

5 Day Classroom based Course comprising of 5 x 7-hour Driver CPC DVSA (JAUPT) approved modules over a week, Mon – Fri (7.30am to 4.15pm). This course covers a variety of topics, but it is not suitable for PCV (D1 or D) only licence holders but ideal for C1 or above drivers.
