Classroom based 7-hour International Driver CPC DVSA (JAUPT) approved course (7.30am to 4.15pm) which will count towards the 35hrs of periodic training that professional drivers must complete every 5 years.

Ideal for HGV drivers or PCV drivers who also hold a C1 licence, who want to be able to drive in the UK and EU.

Not suitable for PCV (D1 or D) only licence holders.

This course will develop an understanding of drivers obligations at a reportable accident, along with giving an awareness of what actions to take in an emergency situation and a basic understanding of first aid.

Entry Requirements

  • You must hold a minimum of a C1 licence gained before 10th September 2009 or hold an HGV Driver Qualification card to sit this course.

This package is designed for those who want to drive HGV vehicles professionally. The Driver CPC initial qualification consists of everything you need to pass the two parts, Module 2, and Module 4. When passed, coupled with a full HGV licence, you’ll be issued with a Driver Qualification card by the DVSA, valid for 5 years.

5 Day Classroom based Course comprising of 5 x 7-hour International Driver CPC DVSA (JAUPT) approved modules over a week, Mon – Fri (7.30am to 4.15pm). This course covers a variety of topics, but it is not suitable for PCV (D1 or D) only licence holders but ideal for C1 or above drivers who want to be able to drive in the UK and EU.

Defensive Driving, Accident Procedures and First Aid

Drivers Walk-round Safety Checks and Safe Loading of Vehicles

Vulnerable Road Users and Road Safety

Emergency First Aid at Work

The aim of this course is to increase drivers knowledge of vulnerable road users, hazards including mobile phones, speed limits, drink and drug driving plus staying legal whilst driving on the road.

The aim of this course is to increase drivers knowledge of what actions to carry out in an emergency medical situation.

Please note, this course doesn’t not give you an accredited First Aid Qualification but is essential information for staff working on their own.

If you are not sure which driver training course is right for you then having a Driver Assessment is a perfect option to see how many lessons are required. This session lasts up to 1 hour in one of our Category D1 or Cat D vehicles on a 1-1 basis.

We will ensure that you are offered the first available assessment, on one of the following dates. Naturally, if that date is not convenient, we will find an alternative date which coincides with your availability.
