Dangerous Goods, Hazards in Transport - 1 day
Classroom based 7-hour Driver CPC DVSA (JAUPT) approved course (7.30am to 4.15pm) which will count towards the 35hrs of periodic training that professional drivers must complete every 5 years.
Ideal for HGV drivers or PCV drivers who also hold a C1 licence.
Not suitable for PCV (D1 or D) only licence holders.
This course gives an overview of the dangerous goods regulations for travel by road. Drivers will be made aware of the legislation which covers the handling of potentially hazardous materials or goods and explains the precautions that must be taken to remain compliant with the law.
Entry Requirements
- Valid ID: Driver Qualification Card or Photo Driving Licence or Digital Tacho Card or Passport.
- You must hold a minimum of a C1 or D1 licence to sit this course or hold a Driver Qualification card.
- You must hold a minimum of a C1 licence gained before 10th September 2009 or hold an HGV Driver Qualification card to sit this course.
Please note, his course does not count towards an ADR qualification but is a good insight into what drivers of hazardous goods need to know.
Full ADR courses can be purchased separately.
