ITSSAR Refresher Forklift Counterbalance Course – 1 days

The refresher forklift counterbalance training course is designed for candidates who in the past have operated forklift trucks and have received formal training with a certificate. This is aimed at existing certificated FLT Counterbalance operators who want to update and refresher their skills.

Operators must be able to produce their existing certificate to be accepted on to a refresher course

The counterbalance forklift training course teaches the candidates to safely operate the forklift to industry standards.

ITSSAR accredited counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) training. The Counterbalance Refresher Course is aimed at candidates who need to refresh their skills after 3 to 5 years of accreditation or due to an accident or incorrect operating as deemed by employers.

 Course Agenda

  • Hazard awareness
  • The operators’ safety code
  • Lift truck stability
  • Handling loads
  • Safety video
  • Test your knowledge.
  • Pre-Shift inspection
  • Moving/stopping and steering the truck
  • Operation of hydraulic controls
  • Manoeuvring in open and confined area’s
  • Stacking and destacking at different levels
  • How to handle slopes and ramps.

Upon successful completion candidates will be added to the TOPPS national register scheme and a training certificate issued.

Please note that the course duration is stipulated by ITSSAR and assumes a teaching ratio of 3:1. Course length could be shortened if the course is not booked at full capacity.
