ADR Core, Packages & 7 classes + 21hrs of CPC - 3.5 days

This full ADR Initial Course is suitable for new drivers who intend to carry dangerous goods by road as well as those with expired ADR cards or drivers in the last 12 months of their current card who need to refresh their qualification.

The course includes Core, Packages and Classes 2,3,4,5,6,8 and 9. (Excludes Explosives Class 1 & Radioactive Class 7).

This course is classroom-based.

Entry Requirements

  • Valid ID: Driver Qualification Card or Photo Driving Licence or Digital Tacho Card or Passport. 
  • You must hold a minimum of a C1 licence gained before 10th September 2009 or hold an HGV Driver Qualification card to gain Driver CPC hours from this course.

ADR – Transport of hazardous goods course is essential for drivers of vehicles carrying regulated hazardous substances. It provides the necessary training and qualifications to legally transport hazardous goods and ensures compliance with safety regulations.

This package includes:

Core: Basic syllabus for carrying any class of dangerous goods in Road tankers, tank containers, packages, drums, cylinders and loose in bulk.

Packages & Loose in Bulk: For carrying any class of dangerous goods in (sacks, drums, cylinders, cartons) and loose in bulk (skips, tipper or dust cart bodies etc)
 

And seven common classes:

Class 2: Gases; compressed, liquefied, dissolved under pressure or refrigerated
Class 3: Flammable liquids
Class 4: Flammable solids, substances liable to spontaneous combustion
Class 5: Oxidising substances and organic peroxides
Class 6: Toxic, harmful and infectious substances
Class 8: Corrosives - Acids and Alkalis
Class 9: Miscellaneous dangerous substances and articles, e.g. asbestos, PCBs and any substance or article not covered by the other classes.

This ADR training counts towards 21 hours of Driver CPC Periodic training.

After successfully completing our course and passing your multi choice exams, your ADR Driver Training certificate will be issued by the DVSA/SQA, usually within 14 days and is valid for 5 years.
